USB just sounds crappy compared to all of the other digital inputs on my system without installing isolators and/or reclockers into the USB signal-chain to get it sounding decent. YMMV.
Do 24/192 tracks streamed via toslink register as 24/192 on your Ruby? I never tried it myself, because I read that toslink maxed out at 24/96. Just curious. The coax is fine.
The 192/24 files played from Qobuz show as 192/24 on the display of my Marantz SA-KI Ruby when using toslink.
Currently, it's just a wireless connection from my phone to the DACMagic 200M for lossless flac files. Bluetooth aptX does the rest. Pretty impressive soundwise. I also use a couple of apps for internet radio and podcasts too.
