I don’t think Polyvinyl is pressing or releasing this, I think they’re just handling the online orders & distro. The preorder page lists the label as Earth Analog Records. They did an excellent job with the Downward is Heavenward reissue and I feel pretty confident that this will be a good pressing

Who cut and pressed DIH? I never bought that reissue.

EDIT: look like an RKS cut at Sterling with RTI handling the plating at least.

It would've been helpful to have more info on how the new album was done, for the folks that want to to shell out 35 + shipping for it.

In any case I listened to the album for the second time yesterday, this time over my stereo instead of headphones - really liked it. Still more compression than I'd like though. Perhaps someone can convince the band to release a special "full dynamic range" version on digital download.

EDIT: I emailed Earth Analog about the new LP and will post the response if I get any good info.

Ha, I wouldn't go that far but I'm definately not a fan of the drum sound on the album!

utterly bizarre for two organisations to use collective soul as a contrasting comparison

Ahh yes, I too would love to see Catherine Wheel return! Not sure that will happen w/ Rob Dickinson's career transition though:

I am loving this new Hum release...need to slow down on the listens so I don't burn out. Record is on preorder. :)

Still plenty of time left, but I’m not sure anything is going to touch this for my album of the year. Really love this album.

FYI - my CD version showed up today, so color me happy. I will say the CD packaging is absolutely the barest of bones, so don't expect much. Not even a digipak and no liner notes or anything on the inside, just a fold-out photo of a forest (I think) from above. The meager credits there are are just squished below the song titles on the back cover.

I got an email that my package was shipped, but USPS says "acceptance pending" for the last week.
I've already had one LP lost by USPS recently, hoping this isn't another one.

This was well worth the wait. Sublime pressing, on par with the DIH release from last year. 10/10

Yes, very nice pressing. Quiet vinyl. A lot of bass but it sounds good. Can feel it hit & I like when that happens.

Just got the vinyl and loving what I hear. Crunchy, dreamy and catchy. I am obsessed with the song Folding which I heard on the radio and then immediately sought this album out.

Folding is amazing. My favorite track on the album, although they are all really great.
