Yeah.. I hear you. Been awhile since I've seen ''Dead Reckoning'', been thinking about that for awhile. Lizabeth Scott was steaming! good genes too, she lived to be 92.
For what it's worth, Bogart was listed as a top 10 box office star 1943-49 over Alan Ladd. Alan Ladd surpassed him in the early 50s although Bogart was still making some pretty fine films.
I would rank them as follows: 1. Casablanca. Possibly the best film ever, and in a tier by itself. 2. The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, The African Queen, The Maltese Falcon. 3. The Big Sleep, Key Largo, To Have and Have Not, High Sierra, The Caine Mutiny 4. Dead End, Petrified Forest, Dark Passage, Sabrina (good movie for Audrey Hepburn fans, Bogart not doing too much), Passage to Marseille, They Drive By Night 5. The Roaring 20s, Black Legion, Angels with Dirty Faces, Dark Victory, Across the Pacific, Sahara, Action in the North Atlantic There are literally dozens I have never seen.
My first time seeing the original "African Queen" boat .. about 24 years ago. Docked at Key Largo, FL.

Yes.. Bogie is on high rotation at TCM.. thank God. I love TCM - But, they seriously need to break out those Bogart films that they don't play like they once did. There are so many they have not aired in years it seems. I'm a ''Backlot'' member, I need to get them on that if possible..
Any Bogie enthusiast is almost always a James Cagney and Edward G. Robinson fan also.. I think they're the best actors ever. The big three. Edward G. Robinson ~ Motion Picture Relief Fund, Inc.
