I have but one question. Did Captain Jack Harkness turn into The Face Of Boe?

Maybe this will be answered definitively in the new series of Torchwood. If they ever make it.

 

I can't remember the hint(s) anymore but I like to believe so, yes. How? I have no idea.

 

Maybe. He says he was known as the Face Of Boe - before he was Captain Jack. Whether or not he becomes known by that name again billions of years hence is not cast in concrete and probably never will be. It's a cool gag, though.

 

I don't think so at present. Maybe someday I hope. There was talk for a while but that seems to have fizzled out.

 

I think I can answer that question.

 

All I know is he will get you high tonight.

 

That's what the clues point to but it's another of those enduring Dr Who mysteries.

 

His face sure looks "woe is me" to me.

 

My recollection was that Jack eventually became known as the Face of Boe. His immortality, the passage of time, evolution led to that. Of course, my memory can be flawed.........

 

If it is true, perhaps it was done to control his omnisexual urges, and help him down the path to celibacy...?

 

Pretty sure that question was definitively answered in the affirmative when we find out that Harkness was known as "the face of Boe" as a young man.

 

He was 100% known as "The Face of Boe" but was he THE "Face of Boe?" Up to us to decide.

 

I guess I'm just clueless. I did watch one season of Torchwood a few years ago, and I know who Captain Jack is. I don't know who "Boe" is. Furthermore, why are we looking at pictures of Johnny Depp?

 

Cause you found someone who knows less about what's going on than you do The "Face Of Boe" is a character from Doctor Who, the show Torchwood was a spinoff of.

 

It could be taken as a sarcastic joke nickname made by people on Jack’s home planet because Jack is so purdy while Face of Boe is so Fugly.

 

Would be nice to see another season of Torchwood to make up for the awful “Miracle Day” season. Talk about a good show going downhill...

 

That's been implied but apparently showrunner Russell T. Davies vetoed any attempt at going down this route.

 

I think series 5 of New Who has retconned that out.
