Very interesting thread/info, thanks for sharing.
Sorry if a bit OT but as it’s a lot of folks favourite track thought I’d share this version I found. Rather like it & it’s a pretty well done version by a relatively unknown Aus band. Cheers.

I have three of the CCR albums that you and Kevin cut, but is like to try to find the ones I’m missing.

Same, quite disappointing. I'll go ahead and return it, le sigh.

I have to say, I have owned a complete set of U. S. 1st pressings and another set of Canadian 1st. pressings (I'm a huge CCR fan) and these KG/SH are the best I've ever heard. Finally completed the set with Green River this week.

That's "Lookin' Out My Back Door". Very different connotation there!!! LOL!!!!

That would be the small amount that the Concord/Fantasy remasters with the extra tracks went way over. Sibilant vocals. Analogue Productions was equalized just right.

Steve, are the five CCR DSD64 downloads that I got from Acoustic Sounds when they were still selling them the same as the SACDs?

I believe that they were advertised as such, but there's no way to verify that any more.

If you had to pick which vinyl pressing turned out better for Willy and the Poor Boys, the 1994 DCC or the 2002 AP, which would you choose? Did the 8 years difference in technology make a difference on the 2002?

Technology made no difference. The AP and DCC are both good. AP is more neutral.

When I played records I had all of these and loved them. Sold them right here when I sold my record collection three years ago. I just want to say thanks for providing us with a cost free sales venue here. That's very generous.

Well I finally got a copy of the DCC Willy And The Poor Boys to compare. Your assessment is bang on - the AP is more neutral (and slays my 1st us pressing), but I actually prefer the DCC, has a little more punch. Great work on both!

This seems to be a common mistake. Same thing happened to me with a Discogs order.

For those on the hunt, make sure to have the seller double check it’s the right one.

    Since the thread is back....

I just finished listening to this box again, front to back, one LP a night. There will never ever be a need to update these LP's. This set is 100% perfect.

I have a very specific question - I just got the 45rpm analogue productions "Songs from Green River" record from 2009. The mix of Bad Moon Rising is very different on the 45 vs the 33, much deeper bass off the top and the vocal has a more pronounced echo/phase effect. The instrumentation is also mixed differently. Is it possible this is actually the "wide stereo mix" that appears on the bonus lp (I do not have the set so I do not have this bonus lp) and not the actual album mix? Kind of a fun surprise as I have a few of these "songs from" lps and this is the first time I've noticed a different mix on them.

I don't know what that is. Do you have a track listing?
