If you could own one movie/TV show car and drive it, what would it be?

  1. From your list I chose The Mystery Machine.
An honest 60's Ford, or Dodge, van would be really fun to cruise around in.
Make it authentic Scooby Doo and the fun just piles on...Besides My wife and I have some very good Shaggy and Velma Halloween costumes already.

  2. The Bluesmobile is high on my fun list too. The car they used for the high speed scenes on Wacker Drive if you please.

    I'd go for something like a Mercedes-Benz 540 K Special Roadster.

I don't know if this particular car has been used in movies much but apparently in a movie called "Topper Returns" (1941) and maybe in a few WWII movies. I'll take this as an excuse to choose this work of art - it beats any contemporary design by a million miles.

Went with the '60s Batmobile. The ONLY Batmobile, in my opinion. I got to sit in it in 1967, I'm not certain how many were around then.
My second choice would probably be Jim Rockford's 1978 Pontiac Firebird Esprit.

I always loved Tubbs' 1964 Cadillac in the original "Miami Vice" series. I was a weird kid, Crockett's Ferraris never did much for me.

So three days later: People really seem to want the classic TV Batmobile with 26% followed by Bullit's Mustang GT nearly 20% (not "Shelby" as I've been corrected). Surprisingly, No love, for the General Lee or The Wraith's Dodge M4S .

My head says DB5 or Esprit and the gt390 Bullitt Mustang but my heart says the greatest car ever built...
The masterpiece of design by Pops Racer/Daisuke Mifune

    The Mach 5
And not the awful one from the abomination movie but THE REAL Mach 5!

Easily the greatest car of all time and of course not at all real...every one of the sound effects is etched in my very soul and no car will ever sound as beautiful!

The 32 Ford was cool but to be honest I preferred the Bob Falfa field car (55 Chevy)...and yes I thought it was faster

The 58 Impala was pretty cool too

If I had only won the $640 million in De Lotto awhile back, I was hoping for an underground parking garage that would have the original James Bond Aston Martin DB5, the 1966 Chuck Barris Batmobile, and the 1983 Back to the Future DeLorean. In a row. In mint condition.

Alas, I'm still driving my (paid for) White Toyota Prius.

I went to the Petersen Car Museum a few weeks ago and took pictures of a bunch of these classic movie/TV cars, and I'll post them if and when I get a chance.

I think very few have seen The Wraith and probably didn't look up the m4s or know what it is.

The General Lee has some serious cultural baggage that we can't talk about, so I think that's part of why it hasn't done well.

Since I can't pick "other," I'll go with the Mach 5, with Max's v8 interceptor a close second.

The only answer for me is the Bullit Mustang. Nothing else is close.

The movie came out just when I was getting my license . I did end up with a 74 Firebird Formula in the 80s.
