    Who would it be?

The trick being you’ll alter history. So say you stop Cobain, the Foo Fighters might not exist?
If you stop Danny Whitten from OD’ing, who’s to say it won’t happen again.

To make it a hard decision, try to list just one. No second and third choices at first.

It’s tough but I think I’d stop Otis Redding from getting on that plane. We’d still get Dock Of The Bay and I can only imagine the material if that was the direction he was to go in.

So many to choose. I will pick Karen Carpenter. The understanding of anorexia nervosa is so much more recognized and understood than it was 40 years ago.

As this is another Beatles thread, I’ll say Paul McCartney.

Another vote for Buddy Holly, although it is a bit of a risk as I genuinely think popular music could have followed an entirely different trajectory if he’d lived.

An artist who died recently, like Mac Miller (9/7/2018)

Going back 20+ years might alter events very drastically. Imagine how many realities you could tamper with going too far into the past.

Lennon or Cobain, with Buddy Holly a very close runner up.

Seeing that according to the opening post there is no need for the musician to be famous or even dead yet, I pick...me.

I’ll try my best to prevent my own death .
