Yet you use ALL CAPS at times. Is that when you really care?

I get it now. It's like, "are you hungry?" or "are you really hungry?" Thanks for clearing it up.

edit: Do you like The Beatles? Or do you really like The Beatles?

whats the problem willie? surely you must understand what im saying when i say that if you have a deeper interest in music you want to hear MORE of it and you want it to sound better? and if you can achieve that by some smaller arrangements of what you allready have and own in your house?

im not sure what you disagree with or bitching about.

Break in is a myth. If you REALLY cared about walking you’d know that.

thats not going to happen, there's a line of upset people waiting for their turn to post along with a bunch of people who think theyre derailing the thread by posting about shoes.

but it is interesting, that so many people spend so much time on getting a better sound and yet avoid maybe the most important thing - managing their listening environment.

    now that's some stupid people!

You have clearly never had high end shoe strings, it makes all the difference.

And if you had ever actually had high end shoestrings, you’d know the string isn’t nearly as important as the aglet, sir. Retract your statement

My response was not intended as a knock against audiophiles or that there is less enjoyment of music. And, I do understand that a lot of folks have to live with and compromise the spaces they have. But, I do think a number of people seek room treatment as an after thought or consider what's in place good enough.

I looked at your profile...you are an audiophile. Very nice system! No room treatments were listed though.:sigh:

Actually we don't have to state any case at all.

That onus is on the OP (yourself) and so far it's just been pure entertainment.

I'm not bitchin'. I'm happy with my main system's acoustics. And I'm not gonna' hang stuff on the wall or put stuff in the corners.
It is not a dedicated area.
In my cave (near field)....I am considering toying with such.
So again, not disagreeing with treatments.....just your delivery and belief that treatments have to/need to be used.

No, all of that is cool as long as you have room treatments. They are a bitch to set up in a car but that’s the standard.

I'm not clear as to why the OP feels the need to posit his question in the aggressive manner that he did. If he really is interested in whether or not folks here have room treatments, why or why not they do, just ask nicely. Suggesting that people on this forum can't really care for music if they don't make a proper attempt/investment in room treatments is the same as saying you can't care about music if you use a cheap turntable, or cheap IC's, or cheap anything.

I dare say that anybody that spends any time on this forum is somebody that cares A LOT about music. Period.

As for me, I do believe in making an attempt at taming a room is important. I have an area carpet, curtains, lots of books/records to tame the affect of a wood floor and windows.

Thanks for the compliment. I'll add more detail about my GIK room treatments once I finish it up.

Would the air bags count as room treatments?

After a head on collision, and if I get T-boned I then can be classified as a music lover?

Yes, once the airbags have been deployed you can then claim you like music. Not a moment before.

    Only if deployed.
But in that case.... treatments may be the least of your worries.:p
