I have noticed a lot of Ihaveit listings filling up Ebay. These are easily recognised as they have IDz in the listing title. Personally, I find them really annoying as they use stock images and I have taken to eliminating anything with IDz from my searches.

At first I thought it was Ebay trying to spin off a music brand but then found out it was a guy setting up a Discogs type site with crowdfunding of £50k. There's a crowdfunding sales pitch where he manages to mention everything other than Discogs...except he does at least acknowledge 'open source data'.

Has anyone actually used the site to buy, sell or catalogue their collections. It feels very clunky to me.

Do they actually have any albums which aren't already in other online inventories?

Any platform will feel awkward at first, especially startups.

Yes, I've seen the auctions you're referring to and I won't ever buy anything from them via eBay. Stock images and no detail for records is a huge no-no from me.
