Uh-oh. That's scary news, considering the upcoming SACD.

Understandable. Is there a speaker brand that you know to be "musical"? Thanks.

  3. The remasters must have used the safety masters.

    Hey Steve,

Seems like a variety of questions being asked so ..... Do you own any KISS records and if so, do you have a favorite ?

onlyacanvasky Your guess is as good as mine.

That would indeed be good, as none of the 60s Capitol albums ever really sounded any good, even on the original LPs. Agree on the remixing too, I’m not normally one for mix revisionism but Walk a Mile In My Shoes hurts my brain.

And maybe, just maybe, Island would reissue, or give someone else permission to reissue, Midnight Rainbows.

Steve, Can you explain what happened to Still Crazy After All These Years? I know it was close to release. I have an unused cover and I've seen a test pressing. Why was it pulled?

The first two (Paul Simon and There Goes Rhymin' Simon) didn't sell at all. We couldn't even sell 500 pieces If you can believe it!

When you come here, what type of threads do you most like to get into? Like, ones about specific albums, bands, new releases, etc.?

And which types, if I may ask, make you groan.

Also, you mentioned having just talked with Geoff Emerick. What would you guys talk about? Not personal stuff obviously. Just curious. Would he ask you about stuff you're working on, and you about the Beatles?

Any memories of when he pitched that perfect game in Sept. of '65? If there's one game I wish I'd seen. . .

Geoff and I talked about a film from 1903 that was being restored. Still in shock about him.

I click on threads about sound, etc. or if I like the group.
