Great comp. The original CD sounds about the way it should, don't you think?

Out of all the remasterings you've done, how many did not have any music that you didn't care for that you could not get them finished fast enough? I know you have far too much class to actually name them.

I only have the UK pressed vinyl from 1974 which sounds good.

After listening to your work on Rage Against The Machine, I would love to hear your work applied to other albums from the '90s, such as:
    - Ill Communication
    - Jagged Little Pill
    - OK Computer
    - Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness

Are there plans to re-master other albums from the '90s?

If not, why not? I'm a child of the '90s, so I'm curious!

Thanks again for offering this thread.

I love the sound of tape hiss in the recording!
    Sounds like...musically.

Just because I don't love the music doesn't mean I can't make it sound good. I am a professional, more or less. But I try to find something in every project to fall in love with.

Hi Steve, I work for the BSO at Symphony Hall in Boston. We are blessed to have one of the most acoustically excellent spaces for concert performances in the world. What is the best sounding (your personal favorite) room you have ever listened to music in--both professionally and recreationally? Best regards. -Kevin

    Made me look. I've got:
    Discreet Music
    Music For Films
    Ambient 1
    Ambient 2 - Budd/Eno
    Ambient 3 - Laraaji
    Ambient 4
    Possible Musics - Hassell/Eno
    Apollo
    The Pearl -Budd/Eno

The last time I listened to any of them besides the Hassell/Eno, Reagan or H.W. Bush was president.

Steve doesn't get to decide what gets mastered. That is up to the folks running the labels.

If you want 90's music from them, you need to talk to them. I would assume that since not much comes out from the 90's, that means they feel they can sell more releases from other time frames.

I do think Audio Fidelity was better about taking chances on things that other labels will not.

Me too, the first four still get steady play here, and I love Nerve Net.

I have to disagree, only in that I think remastering could add needed clarity to the original mixes a bit and perhaps a little liveliness (for lack of a better term). But thanks for responding.

That could be because you're missing Music For Airports. That little gem has held up quite well over the years.

That is Ambient 1, which I listed. I don't dislike any of them, see above, I own 9 or 10 film/ambient Eno LPs. I just like ...Warm Jets through Before and After Science better.

No, it was the early 90s.

This has to be the saddest reality. But, when I think of all that music that still needs to make it to digital somehow, there has to be something available. I keep seeing different names on new releases or remasters.

Sorry if this has been asked or answered elsewhere, Steve, in your experience, does cables make a difference to sound? I am quite new here and somewhat surprised that many in this forum still mock at people who believe tbat cables make a difference in sound.

On my bucket list was seeing a “Firebird” performance at Boston a Symphony Hall. A few years ago Salonen was conducting it and I researched what the best seats were at the Hall, acoustically. I bought seats in the Second Balcony, second row center. Heaven!!!!!

Wasn’t there also an azimuth alignment issue on “Shantytown?”
