I have no idea what his live shows are like, but I’m partial to the Cajun stylings of Doug Kershaw.

Whomever you see, I’m sure you’ll have a blast!

Wow, I thought he had retired. Checking the site it looks like he'll be playing a late night "adults only" set with his Toadliquors.
The guy plays psychobilly and was a pretty wild irreverant performer back in the day.
I imagine you'll get fine ditties like; Don Henley Must Die, Tie My Pecker To My Leg, Stuffin' Martha's Muffin, and Debbie Gibson Is Pregnant With My Two-Headed Love Child.

Lots of great acts listed, here's a couple I'd say not to miss . . .

Unknown Hinson is fantastic, a great entertainer. Some of his songs are hysterical and he is a fine, fine guitarist. A great guy too.

Also, Dave Willis and Jim Fortier. I'm curious as to what they will be doing. Both of them are mostly known for their work on television (animation & live action), . Some of the shows/series they have done over the years have featured lots of music. I've seen Dave perform, comedy and music. Anyhow, I'd bet whatever they do it will be fun.

Unknown Hinson does voice work on one of their still running, 11 seasons, show 'Squidbillies'. I'd bet they will all do something together.

Oh, a handful of the other acts listed in the op have covered the theme song and/or recorded music for the show (Squidbillies). Great stuff. Maybe they will have a Squidbillies themed performance, play a couple of episodes and some live music.

    Have a good time. :righton:

    Great lineup!

From that list, I'd highlight Jesse Dayton, hellbound Glory, Deke Dickerson, John Doe and Webb Wilder.

Have a great time - it should be a blast.

Green with envy right now. So many great ones there, but whatever you do don't miss Laura Cantrell. *swoon*

Fantastic lineup. This is the first music cruise we have been interested in. We considered going but decided not to, mostly because of the cost.
I would say that Margo Price, Steve Earle, Nicki Lane and Webb Wilder are just a few that I would suggest. Living in the homeport for the cruise we got lucky. Lucinda Williams and The Drive By Truckers are playing here the day they return.

Wow! Lucky you. I love outlaw country although I would consider most of these artists either Americana or alt-country. Still, some great acts. I would suggest trying to see:
    Drive-By Truckers
    Lucinda Williams
    Steve Earle
    Old 97s
Dan Baird (the guy from Georgia Satellites)
    Laura Cantrell
Those are just what I think, but I'm sure you really couldn't go wrong with most of those acts. Have fun!

I saw Steve Earle about 2 weeks ago, so if he's up against something else I might skip him.

Jesse Dayton is a friend of a friend, so I'll definitely see him and possibly hang out a bit. My brother still talks about hanging out drinking late at night with Lucinda Williams on the last Cruise.

From the looks of the extensive musician’s list, I’d say all of the cruise ship’s cabin rooms are booked at full capacity...
    ;)

...and the below deck storage units are stuffed with musical instruments...

I really liked going to see Jesse Dayton's rockabilly band called The Road Kings when they played small venues in the Houston area.

Terry Allen would be No 1 on my list - genius singer/songwriter.
Bobby Bare is a country legend, don't miss.
Dale Watson, consistently brilliant, great band too.
Rosie Flores is a good singer too.
Dan Baird (ex Georgia Satellites frontman) is a great singer, first solo album is first rate.

You're thinking of the In-Law Country Cruise, with all the folks who are related by marriage to all the great legends.

I wish I'd gone last year when the Mavericks were on it.

    Holy crap that looks fun.

Flatlanders, Lucinda Williams, Terry Allen, John Doe, Doug Kershaw, Steve Earle. Old 97s are fun but a little easier to catch live in another context. Have a good time, and don't let your horse fall overboard.

I really like Reckless Kelly. Bulletproof is one of my favorites by them. I would really like something with Whiskey Myers, Turnpike Troubadours, Cross Canadian Ragweed and The SteelDrivers.

    Looks like a great show.

A cruise for outlaws? Seems a bit of an oxymoron. Will the ship be modeled on the boats they used to dispatch reprobates and the like?
