    In fact I have.
And there is exactly 1(!) poster who agree with you.
Other than that, people suggests the idea is either bad, wrongheaded or that Jones would have been better off with other bands than Zeppelin.
But keep playing your game here as long as you like. I’m out.

He’s trolling. He’s doing a parody of the “No Jones No Stones” people

Ya, Bonham loved playing jokes and "teasing", and then after some drinks I really can imagine Brian Jones getting pummeled.

A "smorgasbord of instruments" for the audience to feast upon! I'm sold -- Brian Jones in 1969 Led Zeppelin!

Although in the back of my mind, it does have that "Billy the Kid vs. Dracula" vibe to it which as a 10 year old I found repugnant (seeing the caption in TV Guide) but as a middle-aged man I find intriguing.

I'm sure Brian Jones had potential, but I can't see that working for Zeppelin. They were tight-knit, and only a few
people collaborated with them, and that was pretty defined.

It's another one of these "what if" Threads. Don't let it bug you, it didn't happen so...

There was no space for Brian Jones in the Led Zeppelin live sound. He would have been overpowered, like David Cross in King Crimson.

Kind of bugs me a little because it seems so implausible, and obviously they did pretty well without his "help". Ya think?

  12. Brian was sly and into the dark arts, just creating a little doubt within Ginger would have kept him in check.

Sure, we pay for some Led Zeppelin arrangements, provided that Peter Grant pays for a couple of swimming lessons for Brian Jones.

Has to be part of the deal or it's a no go in my book.

Absolutely not. To do what exactly? Page had the guitars more than under control, and by 1969 Jones had really nothing to offer even his own band.

I’d stick him in Gong or Amon Duul II … the communal kinda thing.

No. Brian wasn’t meant for the ‘70s.

Probably not. Brian was very talented and eclectic, but also unpredictable and unreliable. The Stones didn't fire him for no reason.
