We had to rush the poor fellow to the hospital last night; he had been holding his breath so long that he was blue in the face. After hearing of the circumstances that caused his critical condition, while rolling his eyes in disbelief, the attending physician prescribed an oxygen tank be kept at the ready in the event that the condition should recur.

Bumping to announce Audio Fidelity has a street date and catalog # for "In The Wind" on SACD...Sept. 2nd, 2014 (AFZ 181)...they're also releasing "The Paul Butterfield Blues Band" on SACD the same day (AFZ 187)!!!

 

Yipee!!!

 

Count me in for Paul Butterfield Blues Band, great news.

 

I've never heard either, so I'm looking forward to them!

Keith, your Amazon link for this title, says that the album is by Paul & Mary Peter!!!

 

Paul and Mary Peter? Oh those kids at Amazon! Amazon says the label is AF/ Select-O. Is tbis the first appearance of Select-O? Sounds like a vending machine or a board game.

 

At first, I was thinking that maybe Warner Bros bought Hip-O Select from Universal? Strange how almost all Gold Disc or SACD releases from Audio Fidelity get screwed up on Amazon listings! It's as if they want no one to ever find them on their site to be able to buy them?

I have to get that PP&M disc. My mother had that on constant rotation when I was a youngun in the early '60s. It's burned into my brain.

Strange that the confirming email shows, "Peter, Paul & Mary" but when you click on the link to take you to Amazon it still shows, "Paul & Mary Peter."

 

Funny, but now it's been changed to "Paul Peter & Mary"..., they'll get it right eventually!

The Paul Buttefield Blues Band SACD is ALSO available for pre-order at Amazon.com...it's listed as a regular redbook CD but has Audio Fidelity as the label and a Sept. 16th release date, same as "In The Wind"...price is $26.98.

 

I see it as "Paul Peter & Mary" right now. That's closer than Mitch Watkins.
