Phoebe Waller-Bridge Is Indy’s Goddaughter Helena In Indiana Jones 5: ‘She’s A Mystery And A Wonder’ – Exclusive Image
looks like a greatest hits package with a bit that looked like the millennium falcon's flight deck in hyperspace
Hard to tell how the movie might be from the trailer. The "Indy on Broadway" part doesn't seem like a great concept to me, nor the space race theme, but time will tell. Still great to finally see some footage, and Harrison Ford seems relatively believable as a near-elderly Indy. Is he showing his students a picture of a flying saucer at 0:15?
Aside from de-aging at the beginning of the film, most of the effects you’ll see are practical. And…7 more months of work to complete.
It looks decent. I'm a huge Indy fan and didn't think Crystal Skull was the atrocity many made it out to be, so I'll reserve judgement until we know more. Seeing Indy and Sallah together again was a nice touch.
Now that the trailer has revealed the official name of the film, maybe it's time to change the thread title to "Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny"? Indiana Jones and the … Wait, What Is ‘The Dial of Destiny’?
I have to say, the de-aging process -- similar to what they did for Mark Hamill in Mandalorian -- actually looks pretty good to me: Keep in mind that Harrison Ford was 80 years old when he made the film.
Yep. Noticed it as well. Intentional, no doubt, but probably it's a sequence of somebody in an airplane that's falling underwater or flying at night while a storm's happening
Heeeee, this time I don't know. Ford's head looks a bit off and slapped on somebody else's body. Almost 15 years later, I still think the Benjamin Button sequence with a younger Brad Pitt is the best deaging I've ever seen. Of course it's easier de-aging a guy in his mid forties (like Pitt was at that time) than a 79 years old.
I really want to like this. But there is a LOT of pretty obvious greenscreen/LED stagecraft/something-or-other at work in that trailer, which pulls me out of the moment. And that head replacement of Indy while he is riding the horse through the ticker tape parade .... ouch.
I agree, it looks REALLY bad. Looks like the whole thing was done on green screen. I would have thought that they would have also steered away from the cold war as that didn't work at all in the fiurth film. The first three with the Nazis works, they are ultimate bad guys so you don't feel any regret if they get killed. Plus the whole reason for them looking for the objects makes a lot more sense if Hitler wanted to rule the world. Doesn't quite work the same with Russia. They could set a film at any time if they explained Indy lived a very long life after drinking from the Holy Grail.
