Doomcck Overlord had some juicy new rumours in a 15 mins video posted a few hours ago. Ford is in the middle of 4 weeks of reshoots. 2 months before the Cannes showing. This video seems to reveal the new and old endings of Indy 5.
At the very least John Williams did some re-scoring right before Xmas. Lots in flux at Disney at the corporate level.
Crazy to have Indy and the Stones together...but I guess Crystal Skull had Elvis, so it's only natural.
"A dial that can change the course of history" "Hitler made mistakes, and with this, I will correct them all" "You've taken your chances, made your mistakes, and now, a final triumph" "I've been looking for this all my life"
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny looks almost as bad as Crystal Skull, they should've let it die. The last good entry for Indiana Jones was the classic game Fate of Atlantis from 1992.
Very short statements from a couple of actors in the film: https://twitter.com/colliderfrosty/status/1644308257014464514 https://twitter.com/0101JE/status/1644341907731128320 https://twitter.com/0101JE/status/1644342303279177736
Guess Mangold hasn't been too scarred by his Lucasfilm experience, they announced he's directing a Star Wars movie about "the dawn of the Jedi."
The movie has been complete for some time now, and I’ve heard all involved are quite excited about and confident in the film. A very early Cannes premiere next month . . .
"Then I stole it. It's called capitalism." My eyes rolled to the back of my head. Looks like we're in for another misguided lecture from Hollywood disguised as entertainment. She must like stealing better when they call it redistribution.
Looking forward to this, looks at least improved from the last entry. I'm also looking forward to the complete and utter fall of capitalism, but that's neither here nor there.
While we're on the subject of Indiana Jones, let's all lift a glass to mark the passing of Norman Reynolds, production designer on Raiders and many other films. Norman Reynolds Dead: Raiders of the Lost Ark Production Designer Was 89 – The Hollywood Reporter
That gives a much better feel of what the film is going to be like than the previous trailers. Personally, I feel cautiously optimistic about it. It’s not going to be as good as the original films (and people are stupid if they think it could be), but it might be better than Crystal Skull. It’s strange hearing the modernized theme music.
Something tells me you’d manage to find something to roll your eyes about and interpret as being a lecture from Hollywood.
You think it's an accident they included that in the trailer? It's so forced the way they wedged it into the dialogue. It would sound awkward even divorced from the current political climate. Taking shots at capitalism in a Disney film is also so hypocritical that it would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic. It's clear pandering to an audience that isn't even the target demographic for an Indian Jones film. How many times do Disney have to learn this lesson?
It sounds like a meaningless joke to me. I guess some people just go looking for things to be offended by.
