So in a couple years we will finally catch up to the alternate universe from Fringe.

It's very unlikely "Mutt" will be in this movie. The audience doesn't want to see Shia LaBeouf and I doubt Spielberg or the studio want to work with him either, given what a mess he's become. It's possible they could recast his character but I think they'd probably just rather forget about him.

Oh I had no idea he's a mess. I didn't even know that was his name.

For Indiana Jones 5, Disney will enlist JJ Abrams, they will re-write the Raiders of the Lost Ark script, cast all new people, and kill off Harrison Ford yet again.
Oh, yes, and put a few lens flares here and there.

Heard about film #5 on the radio news this week the radio host quoted in the news story Harrison Ford could be now called "Barnaby Jones"

Hope Disney gets an awesome script out of this, please!

I love Nathan Fillion, but he will be a bit old for the part. He will be 47 in 2019. However, he can probably pull off someone a few years younger. Now, that Joss Whedon is done with The Avengers, he should give Firefly fans what they've been clamoring for and bring the series back for a limited run on Netflix.

wow he is older than I thought ! I was thinking he was only about 40 now. but still give him a personal trainer and I think he could pull of it off for at a couple of films.

Nope on the lens flares. JJ Abrams was told by his wife enough is enough with the lens flares.

J.J. Abrams says his wife told him to stop using lens flare »

The Indy movies are some of my favourite movies off all time. They hold a special place in my sentimental heart. I'm looking forward to this but cautiously. But 2019? Geez, I'll be almost 50 by then!

I said it in the other thread and I'll say it again. Chris Pratt would make a good replacement.

It seemed like he tried to play Indy in the Jurrassic World movie. A two hour audition? :)

Age means nothing. And with that said I'm calling for Roger Moore to return as James Bond!

The official plot has been leaked online:

Despite fame and fortune, the retired Indiana Jones remains a resident of Bedford, Connecticut, and has become a successful archaeology writer. He has divorced Marian Ravenwood and has a new, hotter girlfriend played by Rihanna. He maintains links with all of his old cohorts at Marshall College. Still having the yearn to travel, he interferes with archaeologists all over the world in searching for ancient relics and other stuff. Most of them do not want him anywhere near their excavations, until his accurate deductions convince them to listen to him.

The other archaeologists usually wrongly follow the most likely path to the artifacts they seek, while Indiana always manages to track down the real antiquities they seek. The staff at Marshall College resign themselves to having him continue his meddling ways in their cases.

It is strongly rumored that a CGI Tom Bosley will make a guest appearance.

Is Harrison Ford older now than Sean Connery was when he played Jones' father?
