Get yer sordid dope fiend minds/hormones raging thoughts outta the sewer - not THAT kind of rollin'!!! :D I'm talking about tunes that gots transportation as a theme: motorvatin', ridin' the rails, just flew in from Cleveland and boy are my arms tired kinda tunes... The rules we play by: pick ONE tune per hour (we go by on the hour, so if you post at 3:33, wait until 4:00 hits and do it again) - don't post a list a mile long, as everybody likes to get into the act. Help us out by listing a good sounding source for the rest of the nice folks here, so they can groove to the tunes you love...

I'll start with a rockabilly whomper/stomper: Billy Carroll's Big Green Car on Fascination (miniscule label outta the Detroit area) is waaaaaaay cool, dad - the needle drops, and yer greeted with a tree-men-dous car horn blastin' away, then the drums kick in with the BIG BEAT the rockin' set digs. Billy clues us in on the big green bomb with a cute kitten at the controls - heavenly sounds, brothers and sisters. This un' shows up on some Ace comps and Rhino's Fast, Loud and Outta Control sets - peel out and grab this one!!!!

Get Out of Denver--Bob Seger. A Chuck Berry riff, played at double speed. "You look just like a Commie and you might just be a member baby/get out of Denver baby, go!"

Hey, is interplanetary travel included here? If so, my pick goes for Billy Thorpes "Children Of The Sun". A really great rock story.

(Anyone else ever heard this song, or heard of this band? Journeyman stuff for the most part, but this song is pretty great.)
