Anyone got recommendations for instrumental psychedelia to 'relax' to?

    Something trippy like this?

The music you posted sounds a bit more like "dark ambient" as opposed to "psychedelic" to me.

    How about this?:

I find it to definitely to be very "trippy"...

In this decade, Bristol's Psychedelic rock band ANTA released two instrumental studio albums - The Tree That Bears The Equine Fruit (2010) and Centurionaut (2013)

Lucifer Rising is a good submission.
    ...........................

Actually there were very few instrumental psych songs (nevermind lps) from 60s & early 70s.

Wot is important here is that you do not confuse psychedelica with 80s-on SPACEROCK (which everyone and his dog is putting out.)

Well, there’s nothing very psychedelic or trippy about the OPs track. But others’ suggestions seem to be in line with what he’s asking.

Trippiness is in the ear of the beholder. People often argue as to what defines it and whether a certain song is or isn't.
Mine has some pretty damn out there sounds and gets my mind going when I listen to it, so it does it for me.

Your OP example is quite dark, reminds me of some video game soundtracks - Dark Ambient, that sort of thing. There should be a bottomless ocean of that kind of stuff to dive into. I don't find any of it too relaxing myself (that's just me), but I can mention Shoegaze, Ethereal Wave, Darkwave, and Goth as sub-genres you might find of interest.

While they don't have an all-instrumental album, there are a lot of good instrumentals by Dungen throughout their discography.

Yeah, it's from a game called Unreal, one of my favourites :)
Thanks for the recommendations! All of that stuff sounds suitably out there. I'll have a look and see what I can find.

That reminds me of a lot of classic 70’s and 80’s synth music. You might enjoy the likes of Vangelis, Tangerine Dream, Jean-Michel Jarre, and Ashra.

Thanks for reminding me of Vangelis Blade Runner stuff! That'll certainly be worth a listen I reckon

If you’re after something with the same kind of darkness as the song you posted, you might enjoy Burzum’s two “dark ambient” albums Dauði Baldrs and Hliðskjálf.
