Integrated Amplifier to Get Someone Started

    Quick update: the biggest irony of the post I made on the first page is that the Sansui I waited so long for gave up the ghost...

    So IF you want to go vintage, then get a unit that is FULLY restored. No De-Oxit bath will substitute a proper restoration.

    If not, all I can say is avoid the Denon PMA-600NE.

    Not a unit I care much for, (it lacks dynamics).

    Both are really very similar, and much more than meets the eye. They have the same utilities, functions, the same DAC, and they only vary in power output ... which isn't very wide from one to the other either to be honest.
    The actual jump goes from the AS801 although the AS701 is not bad at all.
