Buddy looks mindful of his Little Richard.
Well he was Holly!
The second shot reminds me of Bowie
My favourite photo of Pete. Takes me back to the cinema in 1970. I was sixteen.
Yes definitely see what you mean there. These are the only photos I've seen of her with short hair. I think it might have been the influence of Jean Seberg, the actress who caused a big stir with her very short hair in 1956 and who starred in a version of Joan of Arc in 1957.
Part of what makes it great is that it's just before sunrise, so the scaffolds and bodies are silhouetted in the very dim dawn light. Totally magical.
Pete's boiler suit look was just about the coolest thing going in the years he wore it--I believe 1969-71. Such an original look. Of course pretty much everyone had bailed on the psychedelic look by 68/69, but most went the direction of The Band, Dylan and The Beatles: lots of denim, drab colours, and ye olde "working man" clothes. Pete took the worker's clothing look in a completely different direction.
He boiled it down.
Wow it seems you had to be a near retiree for that factory work!
That was Yesterday........
What is she doing though? Listening to every one?
Is this “quality “ control?
Or just a really demanding audiophile?
To be fair would you blame this lady if Rubber Soul was not her favourite LP?
Tom Port's mom searching for that hot stamper.
That isn't Suki. That is Madeleine Darcy who was Tony Sanchez's girlfriend.
Wow!!! Good catch. You are right. A lot of those 60s British birds look quite a bit alike! Anyway that makes a lot more sense. Here is a shot that includes Tony in the frame.
Suki dyed her hair black (natural colour?) soon after leaving Brian in April/May 1969 and kept it that way for rest of her short life.
Follow a relative of Tony's for lots of his slides and photos etc...

The Invators, Scotia, NY 1966 or 67
Amazing! Great stuff on there--thanks for that!
Ahh the subject of one of Marianne Faithfull's songs!
It does make more sense than Suki being there and besides Sanchez may well be stocked up for Keith and others?
Thank you! There's a real "where are they now?" shot. So many details in there. Those department store amps and guitars, the Beatle boots, the 65/66 length bowlcuts, the magic marker hand lettering on the drums, the Western-style ties. Fantastic!
Michael Cooper stands centre.
Yes we definitely know why Tony was there!
