Iron Maiden new album, "Senjutsu" - release date September 3, 2021*

AMOLAD is for me Maidens most frustrating album as I think all the songs had potential to be absolute bangers, but since every single song is at least 3-4 minutes too long it becomes such a drag.

 

For myself, I thought they got the songs lengths absolutely bang on with AMOLAD. It’s the last two albums I thought they went a bit overboard stretching out the songs (The Red And The Black for e.g.).

 

It's funny how these threads usually slow down and die after the release day.
People just say their opinions and that's it, nothing left to speculate.
My guess is that this thread will not reach 100 pages.

 

There's rock critics and their opinions, and then there are the facts. Whether they had hit albums or cracked the top-whatevernumber is irrelevant. Let's remember that Maiden and their kind of metal were hardly mainstream then, to put it mildly, but you don't sell out several nights at Long Beach Arena if your record is not that great. The band and their albums were the stuff of worship in metal circles, and it's their 80s work that is the main reason Brave New World was such a big deal allowing Maiden to enjoy a second youth.

 

I just got my copy.

amazon actually shipped to me with the new Halsey. Halsey was supposed to be here Friday but wasn't so I complained and they shipped me another copy and since I had Maiden on preorder they must have just combined the orders.

 

That's a huge advantage of CD over vinyl

Target hasn't even shipped my order out yet. I usually get my pre orders a week late, which really bites, but my local Target
very rarely ever has the Target exclusives i'd be interested in.

And my Amazon colored vinyl that i got that that steal of a price of $17.99 or whatever it was, was updated saying i should get it
on 9/10. I wasn't even planning on getting the vinyl, but at that price, i couldn't resist !!

 

If Amazon is already sending out copies, it's a matter of hours (if not minutes).

Which is weird that they even shipped it out early. In the 20 years i've ordered from Amazon, never has a single pre order ever arrived early, and i've
never heard of an Amazon pre order arriving THAT early. Odd.

Meh. It's Caveman-era Maiden. DR is a futile pursuit.

Ordered the iTunes download. If i like enough of it, i will probably purchase the 2cd version on our upcoming vacation in Italy. They still have record stores down there (unlike here in Denmark, where they are very rare)

 

well i don't mean it to sound as if i'm saying he's lying, i just thought it was crazy that Amazon screwed up and gave it ot someone that far in advance,
yet that's never happened for me once, not even 1 day early. I guess it could happen though.

I'm just more mad that Target won't get me my copy until next week Thursday! That feels like a long time to wait yet, haha.

 

I've just ordered my mediabook from a Polish web shop. Paid around $18 (shipping included). They'll send it on Friday, so Monday is the earliest day I can expect it to arrive
