CrazyCatz Great shot kid. Don't get cocky!

Roger was Charming and his Bond Movies ..well he made them his own and mostly they work.. but with regards to View to a Kill (raises eyebrows) He was very much past his prime as a suave, super spy.. ..

Having said that, I'd still watch on a Rainy Sunday IF on the box, which probably happen with most Bonds(excluding Quantum) watched it 3 times .. doesn't get any better.. and I figure I've given it fair chance be now..

I thought it was a good film

Bronsan, IMO was the best bond

I also liked "Moonraker" when it was released but it hasn't aged well I know, looks cheesy watching it again

Moore wasn't the worst Bond, that title goes to the stoic Craig

He really was. I met him many years ago and he was an absolute gent. Self-deprecating, funny, razor sharp.
They say you shouldn't meet your heroes. These people evidently never met Sir Roger.

I know, and I wasn't being argumentative intentionally... just putting forward my own opinion. Maybe I should have prefixed it with "Just my own humble opinion, but...".

I always enjoy reading your posts, Marc... even when we occasionally disagree. You've always been respectful and informative, and I appreciate both.

It's a shame he didn't stay longer as he could have made some remakes:

Dr - No More Viagra Please
On Her Majesty's Secret Service Pension
Diamonds Are Forever, My Hips Aren't

This is not a problem. Electronica in a Bond score is not an issue; see also Goldeneye.

This was great and also not a problem.

Now that I don't quite recall.

I suppose it is a bit exploding pen, isn't it? Appears to at least be based on real world concepts.

    She did great.

Well. It's not as boring as License To Kill (5 minutes plus? feels like 15) or as also un-Bond as whatever they called the song from Quantum of Solace, so there's that.

A View To A Kill, which borrows heavily the plot from Goldfinger, is the worst Bond movie.

I say it's the best. Surely my favorite on par with Casino Royale. Casino represents the serious aspect, Die Another Day represents the humorous one. First Bond film I've ever seen.

"The World Is Not Enough" was on TV last night. I barely made it through the completely unbelievable boat chase that opens this turkey. Gets my vote for worst Bond movie.

Love these threads! Ask if one movie is the worst: Die Another Day and as this thread goes along the whole Bond cannon will wind up there! Goldfinger, Skyfall, For Your Eyes Only ...mentioned as the worst??? Suggestions to the OP. Ask yourself how you feel about it! Go with that!!

For Your Eyes Only is the worst Bond film I have seen, but some people tell me it's not that bad. That makes me shudder for some of the Bond films I haven't seen.

I think Man With The Golden Gun is pretty bad and fairly insulting of an audience's intelligence (even a Bond film audience).

Not a fan of Roger Moore as Bond and was never sold on Brosnan or Craig.

Actually, I have seen this one. Madonna's cameo is extraordinary in revealing her lack of screen presence and basic acting ability.

I think it's at least Bronsan's second best Bond film, I quite like it actually. It may not have the polish of Goldeneye but it's mostly pretty entertaining with some funny one liners thrown around. People seem to dislike the Madonna song but I really like the song and I think it's one of the best Bond credit sequences of all time. It's able to be dark and gritty without losing the sort of Bond tone of the time and it gives you a lot of story while it's doing it.

Why? It's the perfect franchise it reboots itself every time they cast a new Bond and there is so many different things you can do with it. Bond going stale would be the same as spy films or action movies going stale.

I have by no means seen all the Bond films, but the worst one I saw was The Living Daylights. It's not that Timothy Dalton is a bad actor; he was acting out a part that seemed to have no interesting characterisation whatsoever.

Let's face it, you don't go to a Bond movie expecting cerebral entertainment. I always felt their redeeming features wer the imaginative villains, interesting over-the-top science gadgetry, and the fact that the actors seemed to be winking at the camera, as if to say "We all know this is silly, let's just suspend disbelief." There was always the bit at the end you knew was going to come, where he gets the girl. The Living Daylights seemed to be an endless succession of fights and car chases, with no plot that I could follow.

I'd take Connery for his dynamic energy, and Moore for his suave sophistication. Those two were the best 007s.
