Is Equipment Break-in a Ruse

    Well, it can be both. I asked Wilson about speaker break-in and they told me they break-in for many hours at the factory.

    Apparently Zu Audio speakers require a break-in.

    Years ago they started a longer break-in process at the plant, before shipping out the speakers.

    They found that this greatly decreased their return rate.

    I think you make a good point here.

    Mechanical changes that come about as a tight new speaker loosening up, make the speaker sound more relaxed and naturral and may take the dege of the high frequencies, but would not effect to overall response or the sound signature ot any significant extent.
