    Any second hand item has no intrinsic set value be it a car,a vinyl record or anything else.The cost of the item is set when brand new,after immediate manufacture.
    The person who buys the record new pays the retail price.After that it's a crap shoot.Like most collectables prices for second-hand records go up and down.Like most on this forum I'm sure I have sold records on eBay and received much less but sometimes much more than I had hoped for.
