The first Byrds album I listened to in it's entirety. :)
Gram's influence is so strong throughout this album (despite only featuring 2 of his compositions) and the storytelling is top notch. (as expected) It's one of the few Country albums in my collection.

Yes. But to clarify, it's the deluxe edition with Gram's vocals restored where they should have been all along.

    I don't have this. I like the Byrds, but I don't like country music.u

Great album and "You Ain't Goin' Nowhere" is a wonderful tune, got me into Dylan's post-Blonde period, Gram and ISB, and from there the country classics.

Love pretty much everything by the Byrds through Farther Along.

You ain't goin nowhere is one of the tunes I have performed and picked casually the most in my life, always inspired by the Sweetheart version.

Enjoy every track on the album as well as the outtake versions.

I'm more in like with it than in love with it. Very poorly recorded. I'd probably like it better if it sounded better.

Pivotal album. The irony of it all is brilliant. It was so good that The Stones tried to rip it off. Need I say more?

I wouldn't say I LOVE it but definitely like it. It isn't The Notorious Byrd Brothers though!

I am not much of a fan of The Byrds, but this particular album is among my all time favourites.

I never thought that it was a poor recording.

I love The Byrds. Their first five albums get numerous spins and have for years and years. One of my top ten bands, I reckon. Saying that, Sweetheart is kind of the line in the sand for me. Their catalog from this album on becomes very spotty for me. There are tracks on each following album that I wouldn't want to be without but there are as many that I just can't connect with despite trying many, many times. I own everything they released but besides Dr. Byrds and Untitled I play the first five about 20 times more than the post Notorious albums. I just can't get from country styled music what I get from rockmor folk rock. So yeah, own it on vinyl and the deluxe cd but one of my least played Byrds titles. I respect it much more than I enjoy it.

Wished AF would complete The Byrds first 5 into SACD's. AF did a gold cd, "Younger Than Yesterday". MFSL has already done Mr Tambourine and The Notorious Byrd Brothers

I bought it after reading so many reviews saying how great it was. I just couldn't get into it and got rid of it.

Truly a classic album, I can (and have) listen to the CD on repeat and enjoy it every time.
Especially "You Ain't Goin Nowhere" , "Hickory Wind" , and "You Don't Miss Your Water"
    Same for the Deluxe Edition.

Has been in my collection since 1968.

And I still listen it it approx. 10 - 15 times each year, every year.

That and Gilded Palace of Sin.
