Solstafir... Moody, atmospheric, slightly doomy metal from Iceland with lyrics in Icelandic. Otta is a beautiful album. Pick any track, but I'll offer up...

Songs, I got hundreds of 'em!

Here's an obscure yet brilliant Canadian effort from 1970 -

I've found loads of obscure tracks, especially from the '60s, on YouTube over the past 10-12 years.

Here's a melancholy one produced by David Gates -

One more... Mykur. Danish melodic / atmospheric black metal. Amelie Braun can sound angelic and demonic in the same song. Can't go wrong with Mykur, but might as well start with "Skøgen skulle dø," the first track from her first album...

Any musician that can write a song called Percy Faith, and can reference artists like Johnny Cash, Ronnie Milsap and Lacy J. Dalton in his video, might be worth checking out. The Horizon Just Laughed got rave reviews from critics when it came out in 2018, but this song and video is pretty hard to get out of your head once you hear and see them. It has a bit of nostalgia to it, and even some biblical references, but I find it strangely hypnotic.

Great idea for a thread! Here's one I like. I don't know how obscure it is but I do enjoy it:

Wow this is really good. The type of melancholy The Avalanches have made a career out of sampling. And that's high praise

Not just that song - the entire Annunciation album is an overlooked classic.

This is Chuck Woolery's band. Although I have fond-ish memories of the counter-culture Haight-Ashbury "scene" from a distance (and at age twelve), I have never been there and none of the major songs of that era would induce me to go there. This one, loaded with moody San Francisco atmosphere, might -

Here’s A Heart - mid-60s soul classic by the oh-so obscure vocal group The Diplomats.

A dearly-departed friend turned me on to this song and I get chills whenever I hear it.

Probably lost in the shuffle of Beatlemania, this song borrows the staccato horns from Terry Stafford's #1 hit Suspicion for equally good use but unfortunately far less success -
