No, sorry, I have NEVER had my letters turned. Nor has anyone bought a vowel, or used a free spin.

It happened to me only once... I delivering a pair of modded wilson watt puppies and a fully modded french tube amp. I stopped at a 7-11 to get a soda and when I came out a guy approached me with a super deal on some factory direct over stocked speakers. I could purchase right now from his van a pair worth over 1500 bucks for only 350. WOW I said as opened up the back of my suv.....I asked how they would compare to the stuff in the suv and was quickly told his stuff would blow that junk away!!!!I smiled and told him to use google. Take a look at the wilsons/audio matiere stuff and when your ready lets have a shootout!!!!

he just started trying to sell his stuff again!!! I stopped him and said there is over 40,000 dollars of gear in the truck and it is worth every penny; no discount; stop wasting your time. He got the message but could be heard mumbling about what a sh%$#ed I was and how I wouldn't know good speakers if they bite me.......

Then again these lunkheads probably couldn't hear the difference between good and bad speakers anyway. Next day, they're probably hawking fresh meat out of a refrigerated truck, or selling paintings door to door (like we used to get when our office was on Mack Ave. in Grosse Pointe).

This guy probably went back to whatever garage they were running their operation out of, said "Hey, 'Wilson' is a hot name for speakers, and slapped new "Willson" badges on the product. ;)

I'm embarrassed to admit I got taken in by these guys when I was in high school. a buddy & I both bought a pair outside a beer store ( hey, can I use that as an excuse?.......damn, I guess not, we hadn't started drinking anything yet :( ) but this was in Canada about 10 years ago!!

and it was indeed a white van.

I never got to hear the speakers though, I moved to France soon after. told him to keep them, I think he blew one of his anyway.

    I feel like I'm in "white-vanned anonymous". :)

Bolero, was this in Vancouver by chance? I had the exact same thing happen to me outside of a liquor store, only because it was attached to a Safeway:angel:, and fortunately I didn't bite as I just felt uncomfortable about the whole issue from the beginning.
