I knew I was in for a fun time (or trouble, depending on how you look at it) when I had never heard the 2nd album on your list. I'm going to need more weekends in my month...and more available credit to get through this. :D

If I were to break my unwritten rule about having multiple entries for any one artist my list would be almost exactly the same. I might have to include Surfer Rosa, Sgt. Pepper's and maybe another Built To Spill or Sabbath but it wouldn't be drastically different. I treat these sort of things with the thought of these being my only choices I'd be able to hear for the rest of my life, so variety will always win out.

Very cool list, Eric. I have only 22 of them, but you've got a lot of diversity in there.

If I had to listen to that top 250 I think I'd kill myself. There has been some decent music made since 1991, y'know.

I guess this means that deep down I love this forum's canon (except for Dylan) as much as just about anyone else here.

I wouldn't have Who, Kinks, Stones, Dylan, or Beatles on my top 100.

To the OP, I enjoyed reading your list even though I might not agree with some of it. I'm glad to see some "left field" choices on there!

    Thanks for posting!

What a wonderful list. I haven't heard everything, but the sheer amount of great albums from different genres on that list is motivating me to check out everything I haven't heard.

Violator, Master of Puppets, and Entroducing on one list =

The forum list clearly shows the median age of the SHF demographic. Having said that, there are some great albums on there.

To Synthfreak, I enjoyed reading your list and given your handle name I need to seek out some of the other synth artists on your list.

I own about 28 of the albums on the OP's list.... plus there are several others that are on my "to buy" list, if I can ever find them.

I like that his list is so eclectic! :righton:

You guys with top 100 lists should join "besteveralbums'. com and post your list. Every list gets collated and added to the master list.. So each person contributes to a total real world summary oftop albums.
I have not tried to really make such fine distinctions so I have not made such a list. But I really appreciate folks who do.
I seem able to know what to chop off the bottom when dumping stuff..
    Maybe I should think
    What ARE MY top 100?
Easiest way for me would be to pull the LPs.. Then sort them out. Say start with my top 200. Just grab all of them. Then start trying to sift them into some order. Give me a few days...
