I never noticed the odd bird roosting above the burning candle ranch top.

And now that I inspect it a bit closer: There seems to be some very sensual if not sexual things going on in those clouds!

 

So, I just pulled out my Classic vinyl and.... I guess I probably should start looking at my vinyl sleeves from a 10 foot distance. A real facial this artwork btw!

 

Viewed the cover 20,224 times now and def not the buncha leaves lol

Fascinating. And I believe you are absolutely right. I always saw those as some kind of sea creatures.

But it being a close-up of broken glass... I like the abstraction of that. Similar to how the first track is turned into abstraction by cutting off the attack of those piano chords and turning them into something ethereal.

Wow. I always could see his face behind the drops but never knew about the face in the drops! Great cover as always from Mr. Gabriel. Responsible for some of the best ever album covers.

More often than not I couldn't see the hidden image on those things but I worked with this guy who just squinted his eyes and he was able to see them quickly and clearly.

 

I've never been able to see anything in those 3-D paintings. Not even once!
