All of the Emma Peel and Tara King episodes are streaming in HD on Amazon Prime. The color Emma's still have the pitched-up soundtracks, but are at the proper 24fps speed. Very strange.

John Huston recommended the Canadian actress. Apparently Linda Thorson came up with Tara King name herself.

That evokes a lovely mental image of John Huston, whisky and cigar in hand, sitting in front of the TV watching The Avengers every week.

I'd get the Tara King DVD set if it was re-issued. I did get the Emma Mega set.

Prolly not nearly as kickass and flematicaly charming and elegant as Emma Peel (whose show I also watched and enjoy) but man was she attractive ! Watched all of the episodes, but never gotten around to getting the DVDs though. Unobtanium.

The original cast SNL seasons sets came out a while ago (the first five seasons). You can still buy them.

They were all B&W episodes to me, because we never got a color TV set until after the series had ended.

I agree. Growing up with B&W, there are just some thing that I think look better and work better in B&W rather than color.

To me, they should have never made an Outer Limits TV series in color. Old 1930's horror movies worked so much better in B&W.

In B&W, it is all about the story, not the color effects.

I really enjoyed the old TV shows in B&W, like The Man From Uncle, The Avengers, The Outer Limits and The Wild Wild West.

I don't think that I ever saw any Avengers TV shows since I saw them when they originally aired, so I don't even remember any of them off the top of my head. Maybe I would recall one that I had seen before, if I were to see it again?

Some really good stuff back in those days...

It was very cool to see Diana Rigg and guest star Julian Glover both show up decades later in Game of Thrones:

I, ahem, found the Girl From Uncle eps not so long ago, having cherished memories of seeing the odd one many years ago, and I still have a tie in paperback from when you could pick them up for pennies (no offers entertained, sorry), but even allowing for the considerable powers of erm Stefanie, I was sorely disappointed. Poor production values.
