My only memory was watching one 2 parter with the late Noel Harrison, who was playing a mentally impaired man. Even as a kid, I thought, 'this man cannot act.'

You can stream season 2 thru season 6 of The Avengers on Vudu for free. The only catch is that you have to give them a valid email address and watch ads. I'm watching The House That Jack Built as I type this. Emma Peel, yum yum, give me some!

"Castle de'Ath" and "The Winged Avenger" are two episodes that stuck with me. "Eee-Urp!"

I have always thought Castle D'eath could be made into a decent movie. It's among my favorites of the Emma years. God, how I love tight plaid pants on her! And the name McSteed :)

Well, I splurged on an A&E box from the 1968 seasons. It came from Germany for some reason - some one posted to Europe must have left it there and the seller must have been glad to send it back to Region 1.

For a used box it's in excellent condition and I enjoyed The Interrogators episode earlier this evening.

The avengers with Diana are still my favourites from a very young age.
She’s been in lockdown with her daughter and her husband Guy Garvey ( lead singer with elbow)and her grandson.

    Monochrome Emma works...

There are lots of things that work better because they are in monochrome.

How does one find ANY free Avengers on Roku? Thanks!

I found the first ep, well, 15min of it, "Hot Snow". Forgot
that another had the post prior to MacNee acting.

Imagine if it was Sean Connery and Ms Rigg sharing the screen in "OHMSS" ...
no offense to George, of course.

Just as a previous poster said, they were all monochrome to me since we didn't get color TV until '69. I have all the Emma eps on DVD and one season on blu but of course, that one has the speed problem. Fantastic show and still holds up 50+ years later. Diana Rigg and Liz Montgomery were my two major crushes at the time.

UK Blu-ray is the way to go for hi-res. The US version crams too many episodes onto the disc. UK version has much higher bitrate and no speed problem.

According to the obits she was determined to leave anyway to avoid typecasting and the attention she got in public from a prominent TV show.

A canny career woman to keep getting such great roles into her 80s.

That's an impressive feat. I like to dip into the megaset from time to time and always enjoy it, but have not come close to seeing all of the episodes. Kudos on your achievement!

I have the Emma mega set myself. The last time I dipped into it, I saw the episode that Nick Drake's sister Gabriella was in, the color episode about the cats.

Agreed. The UK Series 5 blu-ray set looks and sounds great. However I also keep the US set because the UK Series/Season 5 set doesn't include the final Emma Peel episode, The Forget-Me-Knot, which is actually the first episode of season 6.

The scene at the end of that episode when Emma whispers to Steed "Always keep your bowler on in times of stress, and watch out for diabolical masterminds" - it even looks like Ms. Rigg is about to cry!
