Knoxville native Jack Hanna diagnosed with dementia, family confirms | WATE 6 On Your Side
Very sad to hear of this. It’s such a heartbreaking way to live out the remainder of one’s time on Earth.
Naturally being from Ohio I'm a long time fan of Jack and all that he has done. My best to him and his family as they deal with this sad news.
I also remember enjoying one of his books when I was a kid, but don't remember which one though.
Very sad to hear. I always enjoyed his Late Night appearances and I watch his programs on the weekends with my daughter. He seemed like a nice guy who made the world a brighter place.
I'm sad to hear anyone has this horrible destructive disease.
Sad news about someone who always came across as being a really down to earth kind of person.
. Jack is a great guy, I have met him a couple times and am a stones throw (or 20) from the Columbus Zoo. I can hear the zoo's choo-choo train whistle and the roar of the lions in the Africa exhibit from my yard. I wish him the best.
A real shame.
We saw him some years ago when he was doing a sort of traveling road show at the University of New Mexico. After the show, he was in the theater lobby signing autographs and posing for photos. He was very kind to my family and seemed willing to chat for as long as we wanted.
Sad news. He has done a lot of good work and was always entertaining in his tv appearances. We are planning a trip to the Columbus Zoo next month.
Bummer! All the best Jack.
very sad news and a very sad disease....
