JS. He’s done alright after Lock Stock, even looks better, his potato shaped head in the GR debut film is filled out, or more flattering camera angles. Even though he was featured in two GR films, it was Luc Besson that made him a star in >>>vroom vroom
    Transporter!!!!

    London(2005) ?
    Forgot about that one.
Very rare .. he wears a wig, makes him look younger. His characters big speech to Chris Evans character about his sex addiction, being whipped in dungeons by dominatrix’s was very convincing, the ex painter and decorator can act....who knew.

I hope Stratham has an HBO series in him one day. Something similar to Breaking Bad or The Shield.

JS has a better role in Snatch than Lock Stock imo.

Caught HUMMINGBIRD (Redemption as it's titled) on Netflix over the weekend. Excellent film. Statham has really come into his own over the years. One of the best action stars around.

Directed by Steven Knight ( who also wrote screenplay). Knight created / screenplay ..also for Peaky Blinders.

The character Statham plays is actually based off of late 1990s sports entertainment (aka professional wrestling) superstars such as Stone Cold Steve Austin and Scott Hall. In fact, all the famous peak tv era shows with anti-heroes like Walt White and Tony Soprano were preceded by the changes that took in wrestling in the late 90s when its popularity exploded. Wrestling changed from a product marketed to kids with wholesome characters to a edgy prime time late night tv show geared at the 18-34 male demographic that had tough guy anti-authority type characters as the “good guys.” Wrestling producers, followed by tv and movies producers, discovered that people love living vicariously through charismatic bad asses.

Five Eyes sounds interesting apart from JS also stars the great Hugh Grant and Aubrey Plaza.

    “I don’t bear a grudge” :)

Looks like Guy Ritchie has modeled this film as a JS styled project. American audiences will love the bang bang shoot them up approach. I prefer his martial arts stuff myself. Anyway I’ll see it luckily in the cinema( or staight to dvd).

Just watched Crank last night. Stratham is one of those actors that can make any movie watchable for his sheer charisma.
