    Whoa! Serious haul alert.
I love jackknife, this is the double lp right? Hard to believe a
Lot of that material was shelved...
Good work on that Bill Evans orignal! I have it as well but there is groove wear on the final track. Bummer

Jacknife is superb and sounds good too. I usually pass on Blue Note twofers, but took a chance on these three and don’t regret one bit.

Speaking of Bill Evans, believe it or not, my copy also has a groove wear on Epilogue. It’s 40 seconds long, but still annoying considering the rest is NM. Odd coincidence.

I think because it's very close to the label and is solo Piano so they cut the signal extra hot. It probably plagues many copies of this title. In my old records, it's usually bad news when there is a ballad close to the label. I'm nuts about Bill, I have this one in mono and stereo :)

Nice haul, @dzhason! :righton: Shorty Rogers is such an underrated trumpeter, IMHO. I’ll have to look and see if I own all of that Mingus.

That was a short lived hiatus from purchasing! :D

    I know the feeling ;)

Edit- I don't have any of these later mccoy Tyner albums. I have to get them

Yeah, a very short lived hiatus indeed. I should just learn that I need to quit saying words that I’ll sooner or later eat. ;) :D

I have a local record/CD store that unfortunately (for my wallet) carries current ECM releases along with a lot of used CDs. Last time I was there a month or so back I went on a bit on an ECM binge:

All three of them are excellent.

Also picked this one up recently, definitely not the ECM "house sound":

    McCoy is worth it!

I got this one last week. Maybe Corea's first appearance? Don't quote me on that one.

I’m not sure if that’s Chick Corea’s first appearance (very well could be), but I think Blue Mitchell is a fantastic player. Loved his work with Horace Silver.

I own all of these bootleg boxes and I hope to one day be able to dig into them. Great stuff. Let me know what you think of it when you get around to it.

This is my favorite of the first three bootleg series volumes for sure. The sound quality is superb and the music is, well, incredible.

Come on people, I know I’m not the only one buying jazz albums! ;)

    Thread duty -

    [IMG] [IMG]

Offramp and Bright Size Life are two of my favorite albums from Metheny (I’d probably add Watercolors in there as well, but too bad it’s not available in this ECM hybrid SACD series). I figured I’d better jump on these two titles because you just never know when they’ll be OOP.
