Forum rules not allowing GoFundMe links? Seriously?
If so, the forum is taking itself WAY too seriously. And it was stickied to the top of page 1 earlier!

 

Medical bills? I do not know of what you speak.

 

That's because you live in an advanced country.

 

I sense an unbalance of the force...

My take is one mod stickied it with link and a higher power or another mod of gort team reminded them of the rule and subsequent actions ensued.
Happens to us over at bluelight as I'm a senior mod and have to clean up other mods actions to keep the rules alive and working

 

See, you did do the right thing after all. You know, another of my favorite guitarists I was speaking with before he passed, Paul Yandell. He was humbled that I told him he had a strong influence on me. Not everyone could keep up with Chet. Anyway, after I went to my office this morning, Katherine Burrel sent me another text. She said "That is so kind of you! You'd be surprised how few people have said that. The kindness of strangers" Then she texted "Well- new friends now". I had to hide my face. Takes a whole lot to get tears out of me anymore, but she did a good job of it!

 

I am glad this has been verified. I just donated.

“UCLA was unaware of Katherine Burrell’s crowdfunding activity on behalf of herself and husband, Kenny. UCLA is concerned and is looking into the circumstances of this matter. Kenny Burrell is a Distinguished Professor of Music and Global Jazz Studies at UCLA’s Herb Alpert School of Music. Professor Burrell is currently on sabbatical, and is scheduled to return to UCLA for the Spring Quarter in March 2020. He remains a full-time faculty member with related compensation and health benefits.”
