  1. The version of the album listed at those specific sites I recently provided has eleven songs instead of the previously announced ten, with the "bonus" track being another that was first mentioned as part of the leaked internal promo CD...

So Jeff Lynne is covering "She's Gone" by Hall & Oates, ironic since they opened for ELO back in 1981 on their Time Tour.

Sony just a budget label now? Geesh.
That vinyl is showing six songs on that side

  10. That "vaporwave" lighting... Do you reckon Jeff's aware he was one of the first artists to be sampled by anyone in this genre and decided to give a little nod back?

This is a great tune, sadly only available on The remastered 2013 Japanese 'ZOOM'

Probably four long tracks on the other side 16 mins per side. If they put OOTB on two vinyl sides, that would be a problem.:edthumbs:

Unfortunately that's not all that's too short, the entire album is barely over 30 minutes...but ordered the deluxe vinyl version anyway. My price is $36 (local store), so seems to be in line. Do not want to stream any songs, would rather hear it pure, and with the running time as short as it is, want to listen to it unheard all the way through.

Really looking forward to it, even though it's mainly all JL performing all the music. Just have this feeling it will be better than"Alone In The Universe"...

Agreed! (Lucky Motel) Just listened to my SHM disc of this yesterday. What a fantastic album!

Got the craving for some of his music this week...on tap will be "Birthday Party", 'Looking On", "On The Third Day", "Time", "Long Wave" and "Alone In The Universe" to get me started.

    Maybe.....
All I know is i'm not going anywhere near Sony LP's.
The manufacturing design on that cd is awful. Hopefully Japan puts a little more quality into it.

Sony did a really good job with their manufacturing designs on the Electric Light Orchestra remasters from 2001-2007!

Not to mention the Japanese version will sound better! Almost always worth the extra $$$...

I have all those original 2007 original Japanese mini replica remasters. OOTB was across 2 CD and all the nice booklet and poster. All the original ELO 1971-1986 Much cleaner sounding.

I really like this, reminds me of of The Shadows, it's as if he summed up their 20 Greatest Hits in one track.

That's originally from the 2013 motion picture soundtrack for American Hustle.

  24. For some reason, I always felt as if Stream Of Stars was Jeff taking inspiration from some of the instrumentals he covered during the Long Wave sessions - I can definitely imagine it fitting well on that "Down The Lane And Far Away" promo CD, were it not for the fact it's an original...
