    I know, watch Polanski's "McBeth."
    Awesome.

On today's episode it was mentioned that only 8 people in Jeopardy's history have won as many as 15 games (and four of them have come this season). Not sure what's in the water at Culver City to have so many of these streaks in the same season, but it will be an interesting Tournament of Champions in the fall.

I think Ryan's been really lucky in a couple of his wins - but you could also say that about Matt, Amy and Mattea as well.

The challenger on Thursday's show looked to be the new champ as he blazed through the first half but I've noticed Ryan has faltered early on several occasions only to wake up and take the game back in Double Jeopardy. The new guy would have made a strong champion.

I like Ryan but with who he'll be facing in the Tournament of Champions, it's like throwing a goldfish in a bowl of piranhas.

Ryan seemed like he was over it today. And he was.

I'm sure gonna miss his "Can You Believe I Only Got 3 Hours of Sleep Last Night?!?!" style of play.

Also, I like how Mayim had NOTHING to work with but "Ryan's from New Jersey! Let me name some other famous people from New Jersey." before each game started.

He's so memorable that you forgot he was from Philadelphia.

Yeah, he just stood like a statue for most of Double Jeopardy. It's like he mentally checked out.

One of the biggest factors is due to the online Anytime tests. The amount of times people trying out for Jeopardy has tripled since 2020.

That is a good article. Thanks for posting. It posits many reasons that may contribute to the current rash of winning streaks.

Let’s hope the new champ loses today. I don’t feel like seeing him more than twice.

Mayim had a strange expression late in the game as if she was dismayed at Ryan's under-performing or that she suspected he just had enough. I also noted his loud guttural groans as he fumbled several questions.

Ryan will be eaten alive during the "Tournament of Champions".

  16. I won't miss Ryan. All that sighing or whatever it was made me think (every episode!) that if this is such an imposition, just go home and let someone who actually wants to be there play instead.

I could certainly see Ride-Share Driver Ryan parlaying his success on Jeopardy! into hosting his own trivia game show called "Venmo Van".

I agree about him sounding like he had just finished lifting a boulder after responding, but it almost looked like he did exactly what you suggested during the show in which he lost.

Well, he made it thru Tuesday's game, and won with a respectable amount. So, we're gonna have him for another day at the least.

I don’t mind him anymore. He was less irritating than the man in the middle and less boring than the lady.

I generally steer clear of digging into the background of favorites lest I discover things about them that shatter the public persona. This particular piece didn't reveal anything along those lines but it did make me like him even more. I hope he holds his own come the ToC.

I was annoyed at first that Eric beat Ryan but I've grown to like him - he makes bold wagers.
