I missed last nights Jeopardy because I thought being a holiday, it would be a repeat so I didn’t record it. Loved Ray Lalonde.
He did. They guy who beat him didn’t need to do that fake loser poker face at the end. Very disrespectful… and stupid.
Agreed, it wasn't really called for... I do think he'll win a few more games though, although a lot of the times when somebody takes out a multi day champion, their reign as champ usually doesn't last very long.
I knew the second he made that statement after the first Daily Double that I wasn't going to like the guy, and it was confirmed during Final.
I guess we could chalk it up to youth. Maybe tonight he’ll learn his lesson. Ray was the first multi winner in a long time I really liked. I liked Mattea too. Maybe it’s a Canada thing.
In the beginning, I pegged the new champ as a loser based solely on looks. Silly me. He didn't fool me with his attempted ruse, though. Ray missed a few easy answers and once again, misread one that could have given him the win. Good game.
I thought the last two shows were excellent (even though we lose 'our' Canadian champ on one). Both Lilliput and excise may've done Lalonde in. Knowing what you don't know also played a part in that one $5 bet!
I guess champs invite criticism. We're all different, so I don't get why someone would say, "I don't like him/her". Kinda weird really.
My friend Lois is a contestant on today’s show. Don’t know anything beyond that, but I guess it inadvertently aired in the Cleveland area yesterday. Trying to avoid spoilers!
All contestants invite criticism. It just that most people don't bring them up someone who is on once and loses because you don't have to see them again.
Initially Lloyd seemed odd, looking all around, seemed to be acknowledging someone off to his left, but with the $5 bet on the Children’s Cuisine, and his comment won me over. And his gesture to Ray at the end seemed genuine.
