I just don't want to get ripped of and tricked into buying stuff I don't want or need. I am a completist, and each time I listen to this CD I would either get angry that I am missing three tracks, or get angry because I let him trick me into subscribing a magazine I have zero interest in just to get his sampler where the remaining three tracks are on.
Oh really, they're holding back three tracks? Has this been confirmed, or just an assumption based on previous releases? I wouldn't know either way since I've never subscribed.
Totally agree about the drumming on Broadsword, it's just so...normal. There's very little syncopation going on. Makes me really miss Barrie Barlow's contribution to the band.
Funny enough, I had always tought that, apart of the mastering, the word "adapted" was referred to the book format used (at the time we already had all up to TOTRTYTD sets) in place of the first 12" + book edition...

Thanks, I'd looked at Burning Shed before buying it from A New day but it wasn't listed then. At the risk of going off-topic, I've received my copy now and played it a few times in the background. It's a good fun piece of work bearing in mind the main bulk of it is the classical based arrangements. The sound is somewhat compressed unfortunately (see below), but it doesn't sound too bad to me, probably because it's a clear and relatively uncluttered arrangement. Right... ...right. Remember - Adapted edition happened because of the members here and there that reported errors. We're being watched. It pays to bitch.
I’m guessing we’re in for the only ambient soundscape JT track in their history. And it’s a serious guess.
My copies of the Heavy Horses and Stormwatch sets have arrived, and I'm kicking myself for not jumping on these sooner. (I loved Tull a lot more in the '90s when I was a teenager; I just seem to have fallen off them in the past decade or so.) These things are so well-done they really should be the benchmark for every artist's back catalog. They also serve as a nice history of the band, straight from the horses' mouths; I really don't feel like I would need an autobiography from Ian Anderson after reading these, for example. I haven't yet dove into the music as I've been familiar with the bonus stuff (thanks Apple Music) but I certainly will. I'm keeping an eye open for some of the other sets, but I'm probably SOL with most of them. Ah well – bring on A!
