It's possible. Living in the Past was mixed for stereo before the lp.

Imo it would be odd for the producer to include them if they weren't dedicated mixes.

The differences between the mixes are explained in detail in the booklet. Steven Wilson explains that "Witch's Promise" (included is the 1969 stereo mix) was remastered from the master tapes in the 90s, but the original tapes probably haven't been returned or were misplaced later.

(Yes, I bought my copy today.)

Ordered , also ordered the deluxe Stand Up as an afterthought liking the Aqualung 40th and ThisWas deluxe.
Seems Brick is quite costly and there is talk about glitches? What version should be avoided?

All new pressings should be alright.
Only way to differentiate them without playing them is on the DVD disc itself: the good pressing has a small line under the text "DVD side [...] album duration 43:30" at 3 o'clock.

  7. Yeah, my worry is that by late '69 and 70 there were not a lot of dedicated mono mixes being created, so we shall see.

    True dat.

  9. It was actually remixed in '93 for the 25th Anniversary box.

So if I read correctly there is no 5.1 mix of Teacher?

Don't know what you're reading, but both versions of 'Teacher' are on the DVD in 5.1 ("The album and 5 extra tracks…")

Wonderful reissue, great liner notes despite Ian and Martin's lack of love for "17" (a favorite of mine).

Just ordered the vinyl from Amazon UK. Only $25 shipped to US. On Amazon USA, it's listed at $52 and it won't be available until next week. Interesting.

Anyone on the other side of the pond hear this yet?

I don't believe the official release is until tomorrow the 29th . I pre-ordered months ago. I can't wait. This is a Tull that has needed help for years........sound wise that is.

I think in EU or the UK today is the release date. I think it's been pushed back to next Tuesday here in the US...at least according to Amazon.
