The bonus tracks come in the version with a big book attached. :D

Nope. Some of the Wilson single-disc reissues include bonus tracks, but Minstrel isn't one of them. The only Minstrel CD ever to include bonus tracks is the 2002 reissue, which included some B-sides and severely abridged BBC recordings, all previously featured on the 20th anniversary box set.

I need an educated opinion about flat transfer of the album on the DVD box set please.

It's the best available digital version of the old mix.
The remaster clearly is the worst, tho original cds were good, but the flat transfer is better.
For this album however my go to is the remix now. But when I want to listen to the old mix it's the flat transfer.

The only Wilson-remixed Tull album for which I often still go to the *original* mix is TAAB. All others...99.99% of listening goes to the remixes.

I prefer remix also. In fact, I prefer all JT SW remixes so far. I'm just curious about better sounding original mixes.
A lot of people did criticize a flat transfer on TOTR'n'R: TYTD! DVD so I wasn't sure about Minstrel...

My second favorite JT album, after Aqualung.
I think the SW remix is killer.

I agree. For me now the SW remixes 'are' the catalogue. Sound is great. Extras are fantastic and some ('Aqualung') are really transformed for the better.

Any known reason why Minstrel and Warchild aren't on HDTracks as hi res downloads like the rest of the SW remixes?
    Do other vendors sell them?
