Burning Shed. First time I ever had a problem with them. I emailed for a replacement postcard, so let's see what they say.

With the fuss over the Heavy Horses marked DVD they sent me a replacement foc so contact them. Will it dry out if that's not a silly question?

Hi, Chris. Glad they responded to you positively!

Not a silly question. :) Yes, I'm drying it out now. It's a bit warped, so if I press it with a heavy book, it may be ok.

The book is one of the big draws for me on this one. Stand Up's offered way more print than I'd ever seen on that long-lost period, glad to hear that's true for this one, too...as I'd hoped. Collectively, these books really are a tremendous (semi-auto-)biography of Jethro Tull, a band that's otherwise never really had one.

Wanna hear this zany outtake, too, of course.... ; )

Yes I know what you mean. The series of box sets have covered so much already surely?!

Are you not chuffed you got the post card in the first instance? I couldn't buy it from Burning Shed as it was a lottery, a random selection of 250. Their previous promotion for Heavy Horses was whilst stocks last (sorry Burning Shed, it's not always the best promotional way) so opted for the buy cheapest option further down the line.

They did a great job with a limited Fairport book. I snagged a fully signed cloth bound edition which sold out quickly. ( Not damp) they did a Talk Talk one, signed and sold out as quickly. These things are works of art! Don't hesitate, get in there.

I'm sure you will be fine as it's just released.

Not like being cynical is completely alien to me..... but it seems to me it's not a coincidence that we've gotten these great books in the ongoing Steve WIlson/Tull series, and mid-way through the discography, a book is announced. My guess is they're going to be recycling a whole lot of material from the book sets.

In fact, I'd happily assume someone used their head earlier on and suggested to Ian that since they had to do research for the book sets, they might as well plan the book too.

As I recall, Swarbrick wasn't very happy with the Fairport one.

Yes, he did say he wasn't happy, as there was something in it that was not true to the events, but didn't say what it was or give his side. I think he did say he would write his own book.
