4lp box set is my wish. With the cover being the picture of Jimi Mitch and Noel in the park with the kids, just like Jimi wanted it. Inside a newly remastered (by Bernie Grundman) copy of ELL. And two records worth of outtakes. And maybe a poster or photos. Oh man. Im drooling.

There’s so much potential for an Electric Ladyland box set...original album, sessions, home demos, 5.1, hi-res stereo flat transfer, etc.

Nice thought on the cover. Would be really nice if they did that.

And if it's not the park photo, the back cover would be nice, too (the one Linda Eastman took of the band).

Is it known what outtakes are available for a possible Deluxe Edition?

There’s a lot of music on tape. There are many takes from all of the sessions. I’d welcome something like Cherokee Mist

    For me:

A deluxe edition, mastered by Bernie Grundman:

    Disc one:
    Electric Ladyland

    Discs 2 and 3:
Outtakes, alternate takes, tracking sessions, rough mixes, demos, vocal overdubs, etc.

    Disc 4:
Blu-ray w/flat transfer of stereo mix, 5.1 surround, 5.1 DTS. Pictures, videos, etc.

Guaranteed it won't be a band photo that is now not EH's way, like what Douglas done with those reissues in the 1990's EH focus solo on Hendrix and the others are just sidemen now not a band as such, I personally think the park photo is the best (kids with balloons etc) and that is the art I use for my DAP I never liked the USA Electric Ladyland photo it is just to basic for such a great album and could be any Hendrix compilation etc, Ladyland should have something way out like Sgt Pepper (or Axis) to reflect the contents within IMO, please EH use this one:

That’d make a great cover for it. Hope it’s included in any case.

I should have caught myself and clarified that, unlike the above two, by most accounts any mono releases of Ladyland are folddowns. There seem to be conflicting reports as to whether true mono mixes exist of a few songs, and I suppose there could well be unreleased mono mixes (be they rough, alternate, working or whatever) somewhere, like there were with a few Beatles and Stones tracks. So if anything like that exists I'd love to have it on a 50th, but I didn't mean to imply by my comment that I'd prefer a fold of the the stereo mix to be included over surround or any other content of actual or potential value!

This all sounds great to me but due to the fact they just released another LP a week ago I don't see a 50th annaversary release coming out this year

Janie has saud in a recent interview there is one being released. Also gave a rough but short rundown on its contents (re-master, outtakes, photos).

I dont ecpect to be blown away buy the cover. Theres a few head scratchers in the EH catalog when it comes to covers. Pictures that have zero connection to the music within.

It'll probably be an image if Jimi and the Isley Brothers from 65.

I'd be okay if this would be the front sleeve of the anniversary edition.

I think the focus on Hendrix predates the Douglas era. Probably started roughly around the time the band was named The Jimi Hendrix Experience.
