I plan on going to the store to pick up the new Led Zeppelin archive release the same day as the new Tool album, Star Wars Original Trilogy on blu-ray and Beatles A- side of Carnival Of Light with B-side 27 minute version of Helter Skelter.

I've pretty much given up hope that they will release any new live material. Thank God for all the available bootlegs.

Does the LZI guitar come with a violin bow?

The snowboard image reminded me of the stage banter at this show.

For what they're charging for the tele, it should come with the shirt and the bow. Pants are optional.

If I didn't know any better I would have thought this was a joke.

So, 50th anniversary of one of the most widely popular bands in the world during that timeframe -- and their 50th includes a book, blanket, and a snowboard. It seriously sounds like a weird joke.

No I am not one of these fans that thinks Page or anyone else "owes" me anything, but when you are on record directly stating that new unheard live material will be released....I kind of expect new unheard live material to be released in some way shape or form.

Well said and spot on - the whole thing, and especially the bolded part.

Snowboard?? Has Jimmy lost his marbles? At least he hasn't released marbles...yet.

I'm hoping for a Zeppelin zeppelin. I have a hanger on stand-by at Midway Airport, and will be sure to do a fly by in Manchester Township, NJ.

I'm also hoping for blouses released for men, boxer/briefs, a pet shark...

I wonder how much the guitars and amp will be? I can't afford to buy either but I'd love to have a good look at them :)

I spoke to [anonymous] last year, who most would likely class as a qualified source. They mentioned that Southampton was in the pipe. Anything could have happened since then however. And to me, it doesn’t really fit with Page’s comment about a “completely different take on the band”.

Well, arguably it does if JP was referring to the band’s performance in the ambiance of a small venue. That is probably a stretch, but a conceivable explanation. Still, as others have pointed out, as a whole, Southamptom is not the most ideal candidate for a concert release.

I like the show a lot, but it's not their greatest performance (mainly Plant's voice still recovering for laryngitis). Given how Jimmy edits out any tiny mistake and Frankengrafts live cuts from different shows together on the official live stuff, I can't imagine we'll ever see this one officially. Even if we do, it won't supplant my boot copy of it.

It has its moments. The highlights should be compiled with other choice concert recordings.

It was here that I found out Waiting For Columbus is a "Frankensteined" album. It's still a killer, and hasn't changed my perception of it at all.

It's done on so many live albums by platinum-selling rock acts. It's a mystery to me why Jimmy Page is the poster boy for it. If Hendrix wasn't picky, there likely would have been a live Experience record during his lifetime.

This sounds more like something The Doors would do.

Yeah, but it does have a different vibe from any of the US gigs, and a surprise How Many More Times. It would almost have to be a single CD/double album - I can't see how an almost complete version could be released.

It be nice, for me anyway, if there was latter day recordings (1976-79). In the unlikeliest event that the drums weren't tracked, I'd gladly welcome a song featuring Jason standing in for Pops. I know that's sacrilegious but, I like to live dangerously. :D :hide:
