    While nothing will ever replace the original but, if you ever have the chance check out Joe Louis Walker's 8 min + cover of 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps'.

    Terrifyingly compelling to say the least.

    I am a huge Walker fan, although I haven't heard this cover. I do have most of his albums, and he is on a total hot streak. He put out three (!) albums in 2002, all on different labels and all worthy of consideration for album of the year. Being that he is so relatively young, I have a lot of faith and hope that he is going to take the blues to great places, and do so with dignity, style, and energy.

    I checked this out and to me the great thing is that he does the song with a triplet feel as opposed to the Beatles straight time. Makes it interesting without changing it too much.
