I opened the thread thinking I could rattle off a song or two, no problem. Now that I look at the responses...how can I narrow it down?!?

I'll add Midnight Man, Wolf and the Confessor to the list.

Funk 49 is just sooooo good. The breakdown, with that loud in your face guitar thrash, then the riff emerges and we start up again.

This is a tough call. Funk #49, Walk Away, County Fair, Life's Been Good and so many more are great tunes. But I have to go with Turn To Stone. Contrary to what's stated up-thread I prefer the the 1974 version on "So What" over the 1972 version on "Barnstorm"

The superior version of "In The City" that Joe Walsh recorded (without the Eagles) for "The Warriors" (1979).

Solo: One Day At A Time (This one really speaks to me, It's pretty much the story of my adult life).
James Gang: Midnight Man (I like just about every song on the three JG albums that he's on, but this one came to mind first).

County Fair (Probably one of my favorite songs by anyone, actually. The remix on the Best of Joe Walsh is better than the So What version IMO.)
The Confessor (I like the whole album TBH.)

I'm an extremely sentimental person...especially when I visit the town of my childhood...West Carrollton, Ohio. When I make a pilgrimage there every few years I walk around my old neighborhood where I learned to ride a bike and where I started school and I walk around the old playground at school and think about the kids I played with then. I do it all while listening to Joe's "Memory Lane" from his "Got Any Gum?" album from 1987.
That song can get to me even more than The Beatles' "In My Life".
For that reason, "Memory Lane" is my favorite Joe Walsh song......but then my second favorite is "Two Sides To Every Story" on the 1991 "Average Ordinary Guy" album because it gives me a wonderful ****-eating grin every time.

So many good songs, and I never get tired of Rocky Mountain Way, but this is my all time favorite on my favorite Joe album.
