Next, we will be discussing his guest roles on TV.

 

John Larroquette is not only known for the stage, movies, and main roles on TV shows, but he's also known for his numerous guest roles on television as well.

Let's start off with his most recent guest appearances.

 

The Twilight Zone (CBS All Access) (2019)

In the Season 2 episode called The Wunderkind, John plays President James Stevens.

 

Plays billionaire Jay Reece in Blood and Treasure. Didn't see that coming!

His appearance on the West Wing, even though it was only one episode, was so awesome.

 

Murphy Brown (CBS) (2018)





In the episode titled A Lifetime Of Achievement, John plays Judge Nate Campbell who is a kindred spirit to Murphy Brown.

 

We are going to continue the discussion of TV guest appearances on Monday.

 

I decided to hold off on talking about John's film roles and will instead be focusing on his guest appearances instead.

 

He had a superb cameo on an ep of PARKS AND RECREATION as Leslie's mom's old flame but I always wondered whether he turned down a chance to be Fielding again on 30 ROCK ("The One with the Cast of Night Court") or wasn't asked at all.

 

Back in the 90s, I thought it was cool that his show was from St Louis, since that's my area.

 

Such an underrated show.

In the episode called Galentine's Day, John played Frank Beckerson who was the long lost love of Leslie's mother Marlene Knope.

A few years after Night Court and The John Larroquette Show ended, John managed to get a recurring role as Joey Heric, who is a wealthy, wisecracking, narcissistic psychopath with a habit of stabbing his gay lovers to death.

He won a Primetime Emmy Award for the role in 1998, and was nominated for it again in 2002.

John played Roan Montgomery, who was a CIA agent and well known womanizer who has passed his prime.
