The sound that he developed for The Lonesome Jubilee was outstanding, and I absolutely love "Check It Out".

Am I really the first vote for “Theo and Weird Henry”? Incredible song about friendship.

I don't think anyone at the time thought he could top, or at least equal the popular and critical success of "Scarecrow", but that's exactly he did with "The Lonesome Jubilee", and one could arguably say, while creating a whole new sound for himself in the processs.

Always loved the haunting melody, and guitar solo, fantastic song from an under appreciated album. I've always wanted to hear John play it live.

    2. Rain On The Scarecrow - John really nails the vocal on this very powerful and emotional song

The set is worth acquiring IMO if you can get them inexpensively. Thank You and Walk Tall are worth getting the sets for, plus there's a DVD with some additional material included.
