Don't know if this story is getting any national attention, but a judge in New York has thrown out a $5,000,000 damage suit against John Fogerty. The suit was filed by a Long Island attorney who claimed he suffered hearing damage after attending a 1997 (or 1998?) concert. The judge said that it should be common knowledge that loud music can cause hearing damage.

It does seem a bit strange that the victim is an attorney... but you never know...

I'm a lawyer and I saw Fogarty a few years back, and he wasn't that loud. LOL
